Vanilla

More about vanilla…

Vanilla pods are the fruit of orchids. They grow on trees in tropical forests. The pods, which are about 15 cm long with a greenish-yellow color, become dark brown and concentrate their flavors after curing. Vanilla delivers its sweet and aromatic scent when heated.

According to its origin, vanilla develops more or less aromatic aromas. Vanilla from India for example is woody, sweet and subtle and pairs perfectly with dairy preparations such as ice cream, custard cream, hot milk or crème brulée.

Mango

More about mango…

Mangos are the most popular of all exotic fruits, both in Asia and in the West. The fruits can weigh up to 2 kilos. The Indian variety Alphonso is praised for the smoothness of its flesh and its sun-kissed taste.

Mango is perfect in association with coconut and spices. It also can be served with savoury dishes such as foie gras or langoustines.

Sesame

More about sesame…

Sesame is a flowering plant mainly cultivated for its edible seeds. Its exact origin is unknown, but some report it finds its roots in India. Rich in vitamins and unsaturated fats, sesame is even a symbol of immortality in India!

Once toasted, sesame seeds release a delicious rich nutty flavor. You can sprinkle them on top of both sweet (ice cream or fruit salads) and savory dishes (grilled tuna, vegetable stir-fry or sushis).
