Pure chocolate contains either a single variety of cocoa or a blend. Sugar is then added to enhance the flavour. If making milk chocolate, powdered milk is added. White chocolate contains no cocoa, and is made instead from cocoa butter, sugar and powdered milk.

White chocolate has a creamy vanilla flavour.
