Semi-soft cheese, Fior di latte is made using the same technique as “Mozzarella di Buffula Campana” the difference lies in the type of milk they both use.  “Mozzarella di Buffula Campana” is made from the milk of water buffaloes and Fior di Latte a wonderfully flavourful and software type of mozzarella is made out of fresh cow’s milk.

Also: Fior di Latte literally means “milk’s flower” and is made from high quality whole milk, fresh cream and sugar. Fior di Latte is a white mozzarella cheese, typical from South Italy, especially Campania, which paste is slightly elastic and soft with a rubbery structure releasing a milky white substance when cut and pressed.
